how to live in balance and beauty by unraveling stress and bringing freedom and aliveness back in hips, neck, shoulders , core and low back. there will also be some yoga nidra !  sat. and sun. on 4th and 5th of may!

 

Unraveling stress patters in Hips, Neck and Shoulders – May 4 – 10 am – 1 pm 

Who is this day and age has not dealt with some form of chronic tension in the hips and/or neck and shoulders? With the fast-paced lifestyle that our generation tends to lead, we are so very often close to or in overwhelm both physically and emotionally

Learn to address overwhelm through grounding into feet and legs

Learn mindful grounding to unclog habitual patterns of holding into neck, law and upper back

Explore emotional holding patterns through the felt sense in the body

A challenging, all-levels asana practice will leave you with a deep sense of grounding and the nervous system having had an experience of rest and rejuvenation.

Workshop starts with Native American Four Directions ceremony followed by chanting.

 

 

Exploring core beliefs that dictate how we deal with life – May 4 – 3 pm – 5:30 pm

This workshop can be taken individually or as a sequel to the morning workshop. Bring journal and pen to write.

  • Explore core beliefs we have built as the result of life experiences that dictate how we respond to stress
  • Mindfulness and partner exercises to explore how our core beliefs affect our bodily holding patterns especially around neck, jaw and shoulders
  • Learn how to rewire holding patterns
  • Pranayama, All-levels physical practice and a deep, rejuvenating yoga-nidra to integrate the day’s experiences

 

 

 

Connect to Core, Heal your back – May 5 – 10 am – 1 pm

The gut, the home for the Enteric Nervous System which serves as our second brain, absorbs and responds to life’s stresses. There is also a direct correlation between the gut and the back.

  • Explore core and each section of the core and back using therapeutic, healing backbends
  • Connect to emotional holding patterns in your back and gut
  • Learn how to explore the back while maintaining the stabilising forces of grounding
  • Workshop starts with Native American Four Directions ceremony followed by chanting
  • All-levels asana practice with variations for injuries

Bio:

Sita is the Founder and Owner of Evolve Yoga and Forrest Yoga Guardian and Teacher. Sita found her way to yoga 18 years ago after the birth of her oldest child. What started out as a need to simply find a way to balance a stressful job in telecommunications software and family life with children, quickly deepened into a practice that Sita felt compelled to pursue. After a few years of practicing various styles Sita found her home in Forrest Yoga. Sita became a Forrest Yoga Guardian in September 2017 and now runs her own mentorship programs out of Berlin. Sita is currently pursuing a four year professional training in the Mindfuness-based Body Psychotherapy methodology of Hakomi and brings her experiential learning of the body-psyche connection into her teaching.

Sita is enthusiastic about teaching her students how to live free of pain – physical and emotional. She brings in a quality of mindfulness into the way she teaches Forrest Yoga that encourages students to look into their own emotional patterns, accept themselves for who they are and evolve from a place of acceptance and being good enough. Her classes are normally All-levels and she brings exquisite attention to injuries.

Sita also shares her healing touch with her students – with the permissions of her students, she uses her hands-on adjustments as way to hold space for the student while they process and breathe. The sensitivity and depth with which these hands-on adjustments are given, create an incredibly healing and accepting environment where, as human beings, we get to connect to one another on a non-verbal, feeling level.

Sita is also one of the co-founders of Earthwalking – a platform that organizes the Earthwalking Festival and other Forrest Yoga related events in Berlin and fosters the growth of the local Forrest Yoga community and aspires to promote living in Balance and Beauty.
